AI is fundamentally reshaping software development and the way businesses operate. In this rapidly evolving environment, technological expertise alone is no longer enough. The ability to adapt quickly, experiment and integrate new solutions effectively into business processes is becoming equally important.
We are strengthening these capabilities through the acquisition of the Bobcats Coding team. We spoke to Tamás Péter, better known as Kond – formerly Lead Software Developer at Bobcats and recently appointed CTO of Attrecto, about the experience so far, the expertise the two teams bring together, the strategic opportunities created by the integration and the priorities for the next phase.
What is Bobcats Coding?
Founded in 2023, Bobcats Coding operated as a digital product development and AI engineering studio, primarily serving US startups and small businesses. Its team developed web and mobile platforms, AI-powered tools, chatbots, prototypes and other digital products. Its approach was defined by short development cycles, rapid testing, data-driven product development and the deliberate use of AI.
Bringing a Startup Mindset into an Enterprise Environment
Bobcats was built around a solution-focused approach. When working with startups, the team often began not with a predefined technology, but with a business problem, an available budget and a clear objective.
As Kond explains:
“There was a problem and there was a budget. Our job was to find a solution that worked within those constraints – even if it was not necessarily the textbook approach. What mattered was getting started and creating something we could build on.”
This approach also called for developers with broader responsibilities: professionals who could understand several aspects of a project, work independently and communicate directly with the client. That flexibility and directness are now being combined with Attrecto’s established development capabilities and enterprise experience.
“The goal is not simply to absorb a successful model into a larger organisation. The integration is about bringing the strongest elements of both sides into the way we work together,” Kond says.
Making AI-Native Thinking Part of Our Shared Expertise
Another key strength that will make Attrecto even more effective is an AI-centred approach to development and automation. This goes far beyond using generative AI tools. It means examining how AI can make entire development and business processes more efficient.
“Some tasks that we would previously have liked to automate – but which would have taken months to develop – can now, in certain cases, be solved within a few hours,” Attrecto’s CTO explains.
This is one of the central goals of the integration: to turn the experience of both organisations into a shared body of AI expertise. Together, we are defining how new tools can be used throughout the development process, which solutions work best for different business challenges, and how they can be deployed safely and at scale in enterprise environments.
US Technology Trends, Backed by European and Enterprise Experience
Bobcats’ US client base and the experience gained in that market offer further strategic value for Attrecto.
“We encountered technology trends first-hand that often emerged in the United States before gaining wider adoption in Europe,” Kond says. “In the US, for example, it has already become more common for people without a technical background to create their own digital solutions using AI. This significantly lowers the barrier to software development. At the same time, it makes professional validation even more important once a solution begins serving a larger number of users.”
A working prototype, after all, is not necessarily the same as well-designed, secure and scalable software.
“Today’s models are highly capable coders, but that does not necessarily make them good software architects.”
This is where the combination of our expertise becomes particularly valuable. Our experience in the fast-moving US technology market is now supported by Attrecto’s knowledge of complex software systems, enterprise clients and the regulated European business environment.
Faster Innovation, Built on Strong Enterprise Foundations
The integration is also influencing how Attrecto operates internally. We have long placed a deliberate emphasis on continuous AI experimentation, research and knowledge sharing, and this mindset will continue across the combined organisation. At the same time, Attrecto provides the corporate and engineering foundations needed to ensure that new solutions are not only developed quickly, but also remain reliable over the long term.
This combination creates new opportunities not only in software development, but also across business operations. One of the most promising areas for the next phase is the automation of internal business processes. Based on our experience in the US, American companies are already further ahead in this field, while many Hungarian businesses are still at an early stage of adoption.
Turning Two Sets of Strengths into One Path for Growth
The integration of Bobcats Coding represents far more than an increase in development capacity.
Our existing enterprise, software development and AI expertise is now complemented by startup agility, an AI-native mindset and first-hand experience of the US market. By working as one team, we can respond to the opportunities created by AI faster and more effectively for our existing clients, while continuing to expand into new markets and build international partnerships.
Our strategic direction is therefore not to maintain two separate bodies of expertise, but to combine them deliberately: bringing together the speed and experimental mindset of startups with the stability, experience and scalability of enterprise software development.
This combination will form the foundation of Attrecto’s next phase of growth and AI development.
